What's a Birth Doula?
A Birth Doula is a person who provides emotional and physical support to you and your family during your pregnancy and childbirth. Birth Doulas are not medical professionals however, they can provide you with lots of evidence based information that can help guide you through understanding pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period. Birth Doulas can also provide you with the necessary tips and tools to make your Laboring process go as smooth and comfortably confident as possible. Having a Birth Doula is a great way to prepare yourself for the wonderful experience of child birth and all the marvelous things that come along with it.
What's a Postpartum Doula?
The Postpartum Doula helps with soothing techniques, offers breastfeeding or bottle feeding support, and explains normal newborn behavior. Postpartum Doulas are experts in emotional support, active listening and encouraging new moms and dads to follow their own hearts. Sometimes a little empathy, a clean home and a minute for collecting ones thoughts can do so much for new parents and that is how a Postpartum Doula operates. They make it their goal to save space and help keep your new lives running smooth.
